With their eyes on a larger renovation in the future, our clients hired The Modern Vic to redesign key areas of the main floor of their recently purchased home. The goal? Turn this gray, bland, quickly-flipped house into a curated and personalized retreat for their family.
We proposed a design plan to reflect the owners’ modern style, yet honor the Victorian character that had been removed. Bold color, warm brass, mixed woods, as well as layered modern and vintage textures brought warmth and vibrancy. The clean-lined furnishings and decor created the modern vibe and collected look we love for the perfect blend of past and present.
The stars of the show are the redesigned stairway and fireplace, which honor the home’s history, but lean into the modern era.
The Modern Vic partnered with Tint Gallery in San Francisco to source meaningful and gorgeous artworks to tell the owners’ story, drive the design vision, and make this home truly feel like their own.
