Mix Patterns Like a Pro
Here at The Modern Vic, we love to mix and match bold patterns, bridging playful and refined elegance to our projects. How do we do it? Well, here are our top three tips!
Color Consistency: Choose a color story or a “thread” that weaves your patterns together for a cohesive, yet intriguingly unique look.
Repeated Patterns: Mix your colors, but choose a pattern thread to weave your pieces together. Angles, curves or organics–these are all possibilities to create a story.
Mix Scales: Use a blend of large and small scale patterns to create visual interest.
Of course, we wouldn’t be The Modern Vic if we didn’t love to mix modern and vintage wallpapers, fabrics, and decor with their corresponding patterns to create that unique and collected look for which we’re known.
